Work period....

We had a work period today, since Mr, Arkin is absent........Oh happy Halloween guys!!!!!

I am making good process for my selection assignment>>>>>almost done!!!!!!!!!

Rouge Valley!!

I didn't have class today, I went on a science trip to Rouge Valley!!!! It was really fun and I learned a lot of stuff. My friends told me that the homework is all the selection assignment are due on Monday, I already finished 1-8.

Selection

We learned about programming - selection today. We also learned how to write an if statement, using key words such as "if ", "then", "end if" and "else".

An example

if name = " Victoria " then

put "Is your family name Windsor ?"

end if
The programe would only execute it if the statement if true, if it is false, the programe is going to skip it.

Oh yeah! We had a pop quiz today.......... the question was not hard, according to other people, but I needed more time!!!!! I didn't get to finish the output selection.

Anyways, as long as I know what to do.

Tracing the execution of code.

Well, we did tracing the execution of code today, which we have to pratice at home.

INPUT

Well, it turn out that I made a few mistake on the input assignments that we did over the weekend, but I finally understand it now. I have to say, it is not that hard if you understand how it works. I am working on the input assignment #4 and #5, I already finished #5, and still working on #4. I am pertty confident that I did it right, even though I was having trouble with the previous questions. Programming it really fun ( also confusing sometime), but I still likes web designing better. I had time over the weekend so I changed my index page. Now, it look perfect for Halloween.

Variable

We learned more terms for programming. First, we took up the asterisk assignment, it turned out that my way of making the broder was so much harder than Mr.Arkin 's way, I got a lot to learn. We learned about variable, which is a named location in memory(RAM) suitable for the storage of data of a specified type. We also learned about parameter, which Mr. Arkin made us repeat three time.
I am working on the assignment that Mr. Arkin assigned us.

Note book divider

Yesterday, we talked about note book dividers and how we need a divider for programming; glossaries; HTML and CSS code; program code, guess I need to shop for more dividers over the weekend. We also went over more glossary terms in class and was told to review them when we get home. Some examples of the terms would be output-field width, concatenation operator and etc. We also learned about subprogram and a sequence. For that night's assignment, we had to make a border using asterisk, which is "*". I think mine looks alright, but there are too many code of procedures.

ANOTHER GLOSSARY!!!!
Today, we continuted doing our program glossary. Mr Arkin gave us definition to terms like Output-field width, and concenation.
For our homework, we have to complete assignment fo Character graphics, it was really fun, I enjoyed Assignment 2 - step 2 a lot.

More denfinitions part 2

Same as the class on Friday, we learned more basic computer terms. Some example would be byte, RAM, and Bit, etc. I added the terms to my basic glossary.html. We also recivied a new password which no one is going to post it online, well, hopefully.

More Definitions

           On Friday, we discussed more basic computer terms for our glossary, which is good becuase the more vocabulary we know the faster we can start programming. Appearlly, someone in our class posted the password for the SFTP, so Mr Arkin disactived our class' FTP. No upload for this weekend. T_T
