Superpower assignment

This is a summry of what I learned in the process of doing the Superpower assingment.

All that led to a successful webpage (what I think anyways) made by myself !!

Almost done my Autobiograhy

Almost done!!!! My autobiography.
I finished the paragraph for my super power, which is about the power to view the future.
And I am almost done formatting with my CSS, while I already finished the skeleton of my assignment, I can focuse on smaller details, like the font of my text etc.
The one thing that I fell the best about is that I vaildated my HTML, and My CSS so far.
A lot of work to do !

FPT AND HTTP

We took notes about client-server paradigm,and an outline of HTTP and FPT.
Continuting working on my super power assignment.
 The assignment was set to be due on Wednesday, I really have to work on it today, a lot.
Finishing up my superpower assignment........

Studio 218

         We didn't have lab218 today, we had Studio218, which is basiclly class with music. The DJ for today is Mr Arkin, he played some song from the album The Orchard, I really enjoy it. I wonder who is going to the DJ next friday. For homework, I read about Understanding client server architecture. Some names are very unfamilier for me, so I looked it up and now, I understand the basic meaning of the text.
        Continuing to work on my super power assignment, with the same procedure - edit and vaildat.
My goal for this weekend is to finish the super power assignment ( I just don't know if it's possible)

Autobiography paragraph

         We learned about Windows OS interface which increase efficiency with keyboard shortcuts. Those are pretty much review for me, I knew all of the shortcut except for the alt-space-n for minimize.
          I also read the Word-processing page which tells me how my webpage should have or not have, that was very useful.
          Despite have a french test tomorrow, I mange to complete the paragraghs of my super power assignment.
If i have more time, I would start validating the new codes that I wrote. Knowing that it is going to taking a long time, I might start to so it today instead of make my weekend packed with homework.

Validation-my worst enemy

        After using the HTML validater, the system found 23 error........ I tried to correct the first error, i manage to reduce the errors down to 13, after which seems like a million tries, i finally got a valid HTML file.
I had to repeat the steps over and over again everytime I add something new, I sensing a very busy weekend is waiting for me. Deciding to take a short break on HTML, I started writing the paragraph of my super power assignment, which is going to be a surprise, or not.
       First time of silent reading, I really enjoyed it. Over all, it was a good day.

A bad Locker day......

           I had to use 15 mins of the computer class to fix my locker, hopefully that won't happen again.
Luckly, Mr. Arkin was only talking about the INDEX. HTML work, which i already did, so i didn't miss anything new.
Validating my HTML anf CSS code were very frustrating work, but I guess once I get more comfortable writing the codes, I will make less mistakes.
Everytime I edit my codes, a few new errors would pop up and I have to correct it again, but i believe that it is all worth it when my own website is complete. It might not look that good compares to other webs you see online, but it is my first step toward web designing.

Using Filezilla

          Our homework was to use File Zilla and post the "Wikispaace ID" and a link to your blog.
To do so, you need to down File Zilla first, and that's what I did. After saving and runing the programme, I type in the password and was successfully logged on to <ftp32.bravehost.com>. From there, I opened a note pad and wrote the code that will represent the information that are needed, which looked something like this:

starting my Super-power Autobiography

I was having a lot of trouble with adding a background to my webpage in class today.
But after going home and searched up more information online, i manged to put a background picture on my webpage using CSS.
I also tried to create a link, that worked pretty well.
My next step would be choose a super power that i want to do and start to design the web page,
I want it to be well organized and stand-out amount the others, I well try my best to do so!

My first site!

We had a guest teacher today at ICS, she was very nice towards us, and the student hosts did their best to help her with any problems. The whole lesson went well!

I started making my webpage use information from touque.ca and I managed to complete a very basic webpage in the class. The webpage contents a title and a paragraph with different fonts and a pink background, I think I am getting better at using the  formats of HTML and CSS. ^_^

i learned so much today!

Today, at ICS, we learned how to make a very basic webpage using HTML,and CSS.
A lot of information, but with a little pratice, I can began to make my very own and very first webpage now!
basically, in older to make the texts appear on the webpage, you have to fill in the "containers", which look
something like this: <head> </head>.
There's a start tage and a end tag which creats a container, all you have to do is fill that with the text you want and click open file, than you got yourself a simple looking webpage.

Of course that only a little of what we learned today, I can't wait to put knowledge in to action.
We are also going to have a guest teacher for 2 days beacuse Mr. Arkin have Rosh Hashanah to celebrate,
Hope he have a good time!
